Christmas is coming and McKinley Cougars have been busy! We've had a "food drive" for the food pantry! Thanks parents for giving! And thanks to our student council for counting cans and gathering them all up for our food pantry!
And we have had a "coat drive" for the Salvation Army. Again parents, thanks for giving! And thanks to our AWESOME Mrs. Ellis and the student council for delivering them to the Salvation Army.

Red Ribbon Week will be October 27-31. Here are the dress up days:

Tuesday, Oct. 28 - Crazy Hair Day
Wednesday, Oct. 29 - Inside Out Day
Thursday, Oct. 30 - Crazy Shoe/Sock Day
Friday, Oct. 31 - Halloween Costumes (No masks or full face make-up.) Halloween Parade during school in the afternoon.
The Pumpkin Walk/Carnival will be on Thursday, Oct. 30th from 5:30-7 PM.

Community Council Voting
Parents in keeping with Utah State policy we need to vote on
the 3 positions available for McKinley Elementary School Community
Council. This year we have 6 people who
have graciously volunteered to be considered for this committee. Please circle the three people you feel would
best represent the community in helping to make decisions that will directly
influence students and the school. The
voting will be open until Thursday October 2nd. You may either return the ballot to the
office with your student, or you can drop it in the ballot box in the office
that will be available during Parent Teacher Conferences. Thank you for your help in this matter. We sent the ballot home with your student but if you did not receive it, please click on the link below to print out the ballot to fill out and return to the office. THANK YOU! Mr. Chournos

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
It is time for Parent Teacher Conferences at McKinley Elementary. They will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1st from 3:00-6:20 PM and Thursday, Oct. 2nd from 3:20-6:20 PM. Kindergarten will also have conferences on Friday, Oct. 3rd from 8 AM-3 PM. There will be no school that day for KINDERGARTEN ONLY.
To schedule a time with your student's teacher, please click on the teacher's name below and it will take you to their Parent Teacher Conference webpage where you can sign up for a conference time. It is very simple to use. You just review the slot times and when you find one that works for you, push the "Sign Up" button next to the time slot you want and it puts a check mark in the box, then you push the "Submit and Sign Up" button at the bottom of the screen and follow the directions. MAKE SURE TO PUT PARENT'S NAME IN THE SIGN UP WHERE IT ASKS FOR NAME AND EMAIL BUT PUT YOUR STUDENT'S NAME IN THE COMMENT BOX ON THE SIGN UP PAGE THAT IS AT THE TOP WHERE IT SHOWS THE CONFERENCE TIME YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR.

The PTA is having a Book Fair at the school on Wednesday, Feb. 5th from 2-7 PM and on Thursday, Feb. 6th from 3-7 PM on the stage!!
