5th Grade Perfect Attendance Bike Rules

Announcement from a great Community Sponsor: Crump-Reese Motors would like to continue to give bikes away to 5th Graders with Perfect Attendance this year. We want to let our 5th grade students know the requirements to qualify for these bikes so all students, parents, and faculty from every school are aware and on the same page.
Perfect attendance is being to school more than half of the day 100% of the days. They can have ONE tardy or ONE half day early check out but if more than one they don't qualify. Perfect attendance does not mean showing up for role call and leaving and tardy is coming more than 15 minutes after school starts. This is a hard thing to do and we want all students at all schools to have the same chance to earn a bike.
Thank you Crump Reese Motors for sponsoring this for our students.
**From Mrs. Arehart- Parents please know your child's health and well being come first, please help your children not put extra pressures on themselves to come to school when they do not feel good, or if they have an extra curricular opportunity. When these times happen, they may need to miss school and it is what it is. This reward is honoring those students that just happen to have it work, that they did have a perfect attendance year.

ALL MCKINLEY STUDENTS NEED TO BE REGISTERED ONLINE FOR THE 2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR BEFORE THEY CAN START SCHOOL.

Those students who will be in 1st grade for the 2019-20 school year, you DID NOT have to register online last year so you may not have an Aspire account.  If you do not have an Aspire account (that was set up for older siblings of that student, etc.) then you will need to call the school to get your 1st grade student's ID number to set an account up during online registration.

To access student registration page, go to:

Click on “Families”
Click on “Registration Information and Links”

or Click HERE to take you to the Registration page.

There you will find instructions and a link to start the registration process.

There are four options as you begin the registration process

Kindergarten First of Year Testing Sign Up

Parents of Kindergarten Students:

Your student WILL NOT start school when the other grades do on Monday, August 26th.  They will need to come for a 20 minute testing appointment.  This testing helps with class placement.  Please click on the link below to sign up for a testing time that will take place August 26th through the 28th.  Also, you may have provided us with birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of address (ie: utility bill) previously but please bring these with you to testing just in case we don't have some or all of that copied for your student's records.  We do need to have all of these items before they can start school.  We will notify you by Friday, August 30th what class your student will be in and they will start school on Tuesday, September 3rd.

MAKE SURE IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED YOUR STUDENT ONLINE YET, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE REGISTRATION POST BELOW THIS POST.

After you click the link below, it is very simple to use.  You just review the slot times and when you find one that works for you, push the "Sign Up" button next to the time slot you want and it puts a check mark in the box, then you push the "Submit and Sign Up" button at the bottom of the screen and follow the directions.  It should automatically come up with the "I do not have a sign up genius account" checked and leave it that way and fill in the information.  MAKE SURE TO PUT PARENT'S NAME IN THE SIGN UP WHERE IT ASKS FOR NAME AND EMAIL BUT PUT YOUR STUDENT'S NAME IN THE COMMENT BOX ON THE SIGN UP PAGE THAT IS AT THE TOP WHERE IT SHOWS THE TESTING TIME YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR.

Please call the school with any questions.

Thank you.
